We bought this at Clos De Chacra winery when in Mendoza in December 2019 after tasting thier 2015 with dinner. We came back a few days later while on a guided bike wine tour and the friendly, alert and accomodating staff remembered us and wanted to know how we liked it. I told them we were taking it back to the states. Wish we had drank it there and I would have bought a case! |

The nose had lots of fruit with apples, pears that then gave way to the tropics with pineapples and coconut with a hint if spices. The palate was immediately full, round and creamy, with a great layer of acidity, vanilla and a bit more spice. I was then expecting a sweetness to come through from the high alcohol content but it finished with a clean bit of acidity. It lacks the complexity of the 2015, but that will surely develop over the coming years in bottle. This is cracker of a wine available @humblegrape I bought 12 bottles and not sure they will last years it's so damn good. |

It has great golden colour, an amazing nose of tropical fruits and lemons, then that rich, tropical fruits, pineapple, creamy, spice and perfectly balanced acid goes bang bang bang in your mouth! This was delicious. So much so I've now bought a case of the 2017. This was a bottle from my trip earlier to london many thanks to Annie at the humble grape for your recommendation £28 it is worth every penny. Thanks to closdechacras for making such a great wine. For all those ABC people out there this wine will surely make you quit the club😉. |
